My Approach to Helping

My mission is to provide a safe environment in which you can grow, come to know yourself more deeply, and find ways to move closer to your goals. We may be an especially good fit to work together if you are motivated to create change in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and you see therapy as an active, collaborative process of mutual learning and new possibility. I see counseling as an investment in the areas of life that are ultimately most significant at the end of the day.

Therapeutic relationships can help you build a greater sense of ease in your relationships with yourself and others, and with the unavoidable challenges of life. I frequently work with people to improve important relationships, life transitions, emotional awareness, sexual and gender identity, polyamory, wealth and identity, anti-oppression, integrity, and shame. In addition, I counsel and provide consultation about recovery from experiences of undue influence, coercion and exploitation, such as those common with con-artists and groups with cult-like features. It is my task to support and challenge you in your work to transform with authenticity.

More Info About My Practice

I have enjoyed counseling in a private practice setting beginning in 2016 in my clinical internship under the supervision of Dr. Matt Goldenberg at the Rainbow Health Center in Olympia, WA. Before that I worked in community mental health and provided in-school counseling at two public schools in Washington.

My education includes a master's degree from the MA Psychology: Counseling Specialization program at the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS) under Saybrook University. Before then I earned a bachelor's degree from the Evergreen State College where I studied psychology, alternative education, leadership, and diversity and liberation.
