My Approach to Therapy

To me, therapy is more than just working through symptoms. I believe it can be a place where individuals slow down and give themselves permission to explore what lies beneath the surface. While symptoms are important, I believe they often point to something deeper that is asking to be understood. Because of this, it is a priority of mine to create a warm and welcoming environment where you can show up exactly as you are, without fear of judgment. In that space, we can begin making sense of the experiences that have shaped you, the expectations you may have carried, and the ways you learned to navigate the world. Above all, my goal is to help you understand why you feel and respond the way you do. From there, we can begin creating space for choices that feel more intentional and true to you. Whatever brought you here, you do not have to carry it alone. Wherever you may find yourself in your journey, you are welcome here exactly as you are.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I don't believe the goal of therapy is to become someone new. Rather, I believe it's about creating enough space to understand yourself more deeply so you can begin making choices that feel more intentional and true to who you are. Many of the ways we think, feel, and respond developed for understandable reasons. At one point they may have helped us feel safe, cope with difficult experiences, or navigate relationships. Together, we'll work to understand where these patterns came from, whether they're still serving you today, and how you can begin making choices that feel more aligned with who you truly are

Groups I Work With

While I am open to working with a variety of clients and experiences, I feel especially drawn to supporting adolescents and young women who have experienced complex trauma, as well as those navigating relationshipattachment challenges, intrusive thoughts, and difficulties related to identity, self-worth, and shame. I enjoy helping clients build greater self-compassion, develop a deeper understanding of their emotional experiences, and identify the barriers that may be getting in the way of living a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
