My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that healing happens within a safe, collaborative, and authentic relationship. I see you as the expert of your own experience, and my role is to support you in gaining insight, processing emotions, and working through patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I specialize in working with adults navigating trauma, PTSD, depression, disordered eating, and the emotional impact of stress and caregiving. Therapy provides a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and reconnect with yourself in a more grounded way. My style is warm, culturally responsive, and tailored to your individual needs. I integrate evidence-based approaches with compassion and gentle challenge when helpful, supporting you in building insight, healthier coping strategies, and emotional resilience. Above all, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and understood as you move toward healing, clarity, and meaningful change.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am passionate about supporting adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and disordered eating. I also work with individuals experiencing the emotional impact of caregiving, chronic stress, and life transitions. As a clinician, I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences without pressure or judgment. Together, we work to identify patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress or feeling stuck. My goal is to support you in building insight, developing healthier coping strategies, and creating meaningful, sustainable change so you can move forward with greater clarity, balance, and emotional well-being.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Therapy is a personal and unique journey for each individual. Because everyone?s experiences and needs are different, treatment will look different from person to person. The length of time you spend in therapy depends on several factors, including the nature and depth of your concerns. For example, a specific issue addressed with solution-focused brief therapy may be effectively managed in 6 to 8 sessions. However, deeper concerns?such as trauma, long-standing patterns, or complex emotional challenges?may require a longer-term approach, extending over several months or even years. Regardless of the timeline, therapy moves at your pace and is centered on your goals and readiness for growth.
