My Approach to Therapy

I’m a mental health therapist specializing in EMDR therapy, offering both in-person and online sessions. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, motivated, and capable. They often appear successful on the outside but internally struggle with anxiety, hesitation, or self-doubt. Over time, these patterns have quietly shaped decisions, relationships, and the direction of their lives. My approach focuses on helping you understand where these patterns developed and how they may still be influencing you today. I primarily use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients understand what EMDR therapy is and how it can support processing earlier experiences that may be connected to current feelings of anxiety, fear, or uncertainty. As those experiences are processed, many clients notice that the reactions that once held them back begin to feel more manageable. Alongside EMDR therapy, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to support practice change in everyday life. This includes learning to respond differently to anxiety, make decisions with greater clarity, and move forward even in the face of uncertainty. Therapy with me feels thoughtful, steady, and collaborative. We take the time to understand what has been shaping your experiences while creating space for meaningful change. For some people, this means pursuing opportunities they once avoided. For others, it means feeling more grounded and confident in the life they have already built. My goal is not to eliminate fear but to help you move through it in a way that allows your life to expand rather than feel limited by it.

My Practice & Services

Alchemy Practice is a boutique therapy practice for thoughtful, motivated people who are ready to understand what has been quietly holding them back. Many of my clients appear capable and successful on the outside, yet internally struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, overthinking, or the feeling that their life does not quite match the one they imagined. I specialize in helping people understand how past experiences may still be shaping their present choices. Through eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, along with acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), we work together to process what feels unresolved and create more clarity, confidence, and direction. My practice is designed to feel calm, thoughtful, and deeply personal. I believe meaningful change happens when therapy is both emotionally safe and gently challenging. Rather than simply helping you cope, our work focuses on moving beyond patterns that no longer fit the life you want to create.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

It is completely normal to feel uncertain about starting therapy. Many of the people I work with are used to being the person who holds everything together. They have often spent years thinking through their struggles on their own, and part of them wonders whether therapy will really help or whether they should be able to figure it out by themselves. You do not have to arrive with the right words or know exactly where to begin. You do not need to share everything all at once, and you will never be pushed to move faster than feels right. Therapy is not about being judged or told what to do. It is a conversation and a process we build together. We start with where you are, what has been feeling difficult, and what you hope might be different. My approach is thoughtful, steady, and collaborative. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can finally put down the pressure to have it all figured out. Over time, many people find that what once felt overwhelming begins to feel more understandable, manageable, and possible.
