I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University and have since been fulfilled each day by helping clients confront and overcome issues such as relationship stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, identity confusion, parenting challenges and more. I have helped many different types of individuals improve their quality of life by developing strategies they can use and maintain as they work to address their personal challenges. Change can sometimes feel scary, overwhelming, or out of reach, but I work to make sure my clients never feel alone. My primary goal is to create a productive, warm, and open forum that enables clients to feel safe and supported each step of the way.
I have received special recognition for my work with the college population but have experience with clients of all ages. In my work with all individuals, I take a customized approach and continuously aim to identify interventions that can be taken to prepare you, and your loved ones for effective and lasting change.
By joining and assisting you in your process of self-discovery and understanding, I hope to empower you and boost confidence in your unique abilities. For more information about my New York online therapy services, please visit my website at www.theprismpractice.com, or contact me directly today.
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
Starting therapy can definitely feel overwhelming. I often hear, "What if it's too hard?" or "What if I don't know what to say?" Here's what I tell my clients:
Therapy isn't about having all the answers or even knowing where to start. It's about showing up as you are; with your questions, emotions, and even your hesitations. Together, we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable. There's no pressure to have it all figured out.
Your job isn't to fix everything before therapy. It's to show up. My job? To create a safe, compassionate space where you can be vulnerable and experiment with new skills and where healing, self-awareness, and confidence can grow.
