Ashanti Shakir, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I am Ashanti Shakir, a licensed marriage and family therapist. I work with adults state-wide with a base in Las Vegas, Nevada. I see adults in Georgia, New Jersey, and North Carolina via telehealth. I have worked in diverse settings, including community mental health centers, non-profit organizations, crisis intervention, hospital liaisons, outpatient clinics, and private practice. My experience includes an accumulation of relevant work experience in social services with government and county agencies as well as in the counseling field. I have been in telehealth since 2012 so delivering effective telehealth services is not a new concept for me. I have a solution-focused approach and specialize in treating adults managing the challenges of parenting, single-parenting, postpartum recovery, depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, life-phase challenges, work stress, and establishing boundaries.
