My Approach to Therapy
At Belief Counseling, we believe that meaningful change begins in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. Our approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, experiences, and goals.
We work with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), behavioral and emotional challenges, trauma, grief, family conflict, life transitions, and school-related stress. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, we incorporate evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, solution-focused strategies, psychoeducation, and the Modular Approach to Therapy for Children (MATCH), when clinically appropriate.
With children and adolescents, we strive to make therapy engaging and developmentally appropriate while helping them strengthen emotional regulation, coping, communication, confidence, and problem-solving skills. We also recognize the important role of parents and caregivers, and we collaborate with families when appropriate to support progress beyond the therapy session.
For adults, therapy provides a supportive space to better understand emotions, recognize unhelpful patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and work toward meaningful personal goals.
At Belief Counseling, our goal is not simply to focus on symptoms, but to understand the whole person and help each client build practical skills that can be used in everyday life. We meet clients where they are and work alongside them as they move toward greater emotional well-being, resilience, and meaningful change.
Services are available in English and Spanish, both in person and through telehealth in Florida.
My Practice & Services
Belief Counseling is a bilingual mental health practice serving children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. We provide both in-person services in the Hunters Creek area of Orlando, Florida, and convenient telehealth options throughout Florida.
Our practice is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive, and culturally responsive environment where clients can feel comfortable addressing emotional, behavioral, and family concerns. Services are available in both English and Spanish.
In addition to individual therapy, we provide family support and parent-focused services, and we collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals when clinically appropriate. Our team includes licensed mental health professionals and Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns, allowing us to offer different options based on each client’s needs.
Belief Counseling accepts several commercial insurance plans, as well as self-pay. We are committed to making the process of beginning therapy as clear and supportive as possible, from the initial referral through ongoing treatment.
Coming soon, Belief Counseling will also be expanding its services with a Psychological Testing Department to provide comprehensive psychological and diagnostic evaluation services.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
What I love most about being a psychotherapist is having the opportunity to be part of someone’s journey toward growth and meaningful change. I value creating a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported while discovering their own strengths and developing healthier ways to navigate life’s challenges. It is especially rewarding to see children, teens, adults, and families gain confidence, strengthen their relationships, and recognize progress they may not have believed was possible when they first began therapy.
