April Gardner is a Resident in Counseling with four years of experience. She works with adults, and their loved ones, who are dealing with a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), panic, borderline personality, bipolar, and schizophrenia and related conditions. April also has experience working with incarcerated individuals and with addiction-related concerns. She has worked in settings including hospice care, bereavement, community mental health, inpatient hospitals, emergency services, and private practice.

April graduated from Liberty University with her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. She specializes in solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-oriented recovery enhancement.
