My Approach to Helping

I work with people of all backgrounds and I specialize in treating millenials, queertransgender nonconforming people, artists and women in tech. My style is engaged, respectful, collaborative and compassionate; informed by a socio-cultural lense. You don't have to go at it alone. Contact me and let's begin the conversation.

Are you seeking relief from depression, anxiety, grief or the effects of a breakup? Are you struggling at work? Maybe you want to change how you interact with your family or partner? I work with individuals and couples to improve their relationships, navigate life transitions, and heal from traumatic experiences. In therapy, you can begin to create meaningful changes; better relationships, more work satisfaction, greater self understanding, and more fulfillment. I have found that through therapy sometimes what is painful at the start leads to a more fulfilled, free, and meaningful life.

I will hold your feelings in the context of both your past and present life as we make sense of them. I will listen to you carefully; working with you to develop a fuller understanding of what you are experiencing so that I can support you through it. I invite you to schedule an initial session.

Certificate: Psychodynamic Relational PsychotherapyThe Psychotherapy Institute, Certification Date: 2016

Bachelors in American Cultural Studies: This major explores the formation of identities and societies through issues such as race ethnicity, social and cultural theory, social economic class, gender and sexual orientation. It examines and questions the concepts of privilege, silence and voice. I have continued to immerse myself in this culturally critical process and journey ever since and it is an integral part of my therapy practice.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

By applying the self-awareness you gain in our work together, we unearth long-standing behavior patterns and perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more gratifying life.
While we can't change the past we can change our relationship to the past and work together to better understand and resolve the challenges in your life. I do my best to help you develop greater trust in yourself and others, greater self-confidence and healthy self-assertion.
My objective is to assist you in finding the resources within yourself to achieve your true potential, accomplish personal and professional goals and lead a life worth celebrating. My work is a passion and I consider it an honor and a privilege to facilitate your journey.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Sessions are held one time or more per week depending on your individual needs and go for 50 minutes.
