What's My Approach to Therapy?
I work with people of all backgrounds, and I specialize in treating queer, trans, gender nonconforming people, artists, and women at all stages of life. My style is engaged, respectful, collaborative, and compassionate; informed by a socio-cultural lens. You don't have to go at it alone. Contact me and let's begin the conversation.
Are you seeking relief from depression, anxiety, grief, or the effects of a breakup? Are you struggling at work? Maybe you want to change how you interact with your family or partner? I can help you to improve your relationships, navigate life transitions, and heal from traumatic experiences. In therapy, you can begin to create meaningful changes: better relationships, more work satisfaction, greater self-understanding, and more fulfillment. I have found that through therapy, sometimes what is painful at the start leads to a more fulfilled, free, and meaningful life.
I will hold your feelings in the context of both your past and present life as we make sense of them. I will listen to you carefully, working with you to develop a fuller understanding of what you are experiencing so that I can support you through it. I invite you to schedule an initial session.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
By applying the self-awareness you gain in our work together, we unearth long-standing behavior patterns and perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more gratifying life. While we can't change the past we can change our relationship to the past and work together to better understand and resolve the challenges in your life.
I do my best to help you develop greater trust in yourself and others, greater self-confidence and healthy self-assertion. My objective is to assist you in finding the resources within yourself to achieve your true potential, accomplish personal and professional goals and lead a life worth celebrating. My work is a passion and I consider it an honor and a privilege to facilitate your journey.
My Guiding Ethical Principles
Over the past two decades through my education, work, and personal life I have pursued an ongoing engagement in culturally critical processes in order to examine and question the concepts of privilege, silence and voice; and to explore the formation of identities through issues such as race ethnicity, social and cultural theory, social economic class, gender and sexual orientation.
From this background I have developed a therapy practice with a firm grounding in relational and psychodynamic psychotherapy with a sociocultural lense. To insure I offer my patients the best care possible I participate in a rigorous discipline of professional education and consultation on a regular basis.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
Sessions are held one time to three times per week depending on your individual needs and go for 50 minutes.
I offer a complementary 20 minute Zoom consultation to assess if this might be a good fit.
