What's My Approach to Therapy?

Many people minimize their experiences or feel they need to measure their pain for it to be valid, but your story matters. I use a trauma-informed approach rooted in the mind-body-emotional connection to help you understand and connect with the different parts of yourself while building safety and regulation within your nervous system. This work supports deeper awareness, emotional balance, and a stronger connection between your thoughts, body, and internal experiences. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, tune into your internal world, and develop a different relationship with your emotions. Rather than pushing feelings away, we focus on understanding them. This can help you feel more grounded and connected to yourself.

My Practice & Services

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I truly understand how difficult it can be to take that first step. My practice is inclusive and affirming, and I believe healing involves nurturing the mind, body, and emotions. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard. I take a collaborative approach, working alongside you to identify your goals and develop a plan that supports your healing and growth at a pace that feels right for you.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I work primarily with adults who are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, and the ongoing effects of past trauma. Im skilled at supporting clients who: -Experience emotional overwhelm, emotional flashbacks, or intense anxiety -Struggle with relationship challenges or attachment patterns -Are managing the impact of complex or developmental trauma -Want to strengthen their mind-body-emotional connection and nervous system regulation -Seek a trauma-informed, insight-oriented approach to personal growth and self-understanding. I also work with clients who feel high-functioning on the outside but carry pressure, self-doubt, or emotional fatigue internally. My approach is collaborative and paced to prioritize safety and self-awareness. While I specialize in supporting young adults, women and mothers, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, my work is not limited to these populations. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds who are seeking healing, growth, and a deeper understanding of themselves. No matter where you are in your journey, youre welcome here.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore whats going on beneath the surface whether thats anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, trauma, or feeling stuck in old patterns. You dont need to have everything figured out to start. Psychotherapy helps by increasing self-awareness, developing healthier coping strategies, and creating space for deeper healing and growth. Its more than just talking, its a collaborative process of uncovering whats holding you back and gently moving toward what helps you feel more grounded, connected, and whole. At its core, therapy is also a relationship. Having someone show up for you with consistency, curiosity, and care especially if that hasnt always been your experience can in itself be profoundly healing. Over time, therapy can help you make sense of your emotions, strengthen your boundaries, feel more at ease in your body, and reconnect with who you are beneath the stress, pain, or self-doubt. Healing isn't linear, but you dont have to do it alone. I offer a free consultation, lets explore together if this feels like the right fit for you.
