What's My Approach to Therapy?
I have extensive experience working with both individuals and couples. For individuals, I have specialized knowledge in managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and bipolar condition through a range of techniques and strategies. For couples, I provide skills and support for those experiencing communication breakdowns, feeling disconnected, or struggling to manage conflict.
I use a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) lens and work collaboratively with my clients to help them identify and challenge negative beliefs and attitudes, and develop effective coping strategies to manage their symptoms in a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), and relationship issues. I also use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help reduce emotional distress, improve coping, and promote lasting relief from symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.
As people go through their lives, they begin to recognize patterns that are starting to become unhealthy. While some are able to find solutions and make change, others are at a loss as to where to start. That's where therapy comes in: where recognition meets not knowing what to do next.
