My Approach to Therapy

Therapy is a space where you can put yourself first, dedicating time and attention to your needs in a demanding, chaotic world. Here, you can find solace in a safe, welcoming environment, where we focus entirely on you and your unique journey. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I’m devoted to offering you kindness, compassion, and empathy as we navigate this transformative journey together. I take a holistic approach, drawing from modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, somatic therapy, emotion-focused family therapy, and narrative therapy. Whether you’re seeking to understand and process the past or looking for guidance in figuring out the next steps in your life, I’m here to support you at your own pace, without restrictions or judgment. I want you to feel seen, heard, and deeply understood throughout our work together. My special interests lie in working with those experiencing relationship issues, eating-related challenges, low self-esteem, anxiety and depression. Together, we’ll explore your emotions and thoughts, create space for self-compassion, and unearth the wisdom and resilience that already reside within you. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy and collaboration. We’ll work together as a team, honoring your unique experiences and strengths as we seek to foster growth and empowerment. Finding the right fit in therapy is essential, and I offer free consultations to help ensure our partnership feels comfortable and aligned. Your journey toward healing and transformation begins with that initial step, and I’m here, ready to support you every step of the way. My Practice & Services

The name Flexible Minds originates from the idea that when we are too rigid in our thinking, it limits our ability to handle situations with ease. When our mind is flexible, we can move with, rather than against, whatever life throws our way. Flexibility allows us to better adapt and embrace life more fully. We are then able to be present and live more authentically to who we are and who we want to be. The more we can bend, the less we will break. We offer virtual psychotherapy, walk and talk therapy, somatic therapy, yoga, and mental health workshops.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped not only by education and training, but also by my own life experiences. I have walked through seasons of personal struggle, uncertainty, and healing, which has deepened my understanding of how complex and painful life can sometimes feel. Those experiences helped me develop a genuine empathy for the people I work with and a deep respect for the courage it takes to face change. Because I know what it is like to navigate challenges and work toward growth, I approach therapy with humility, compassion, and authenticity. My goal is to create a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I believe that healing does not come from being perfect, but from being willing to engage honestly with our stories and it is a privilege to walk alongside others as they do that work.
