My Approach to Therapy

I’ve always believed that therapy shouldn’t feel cold or clinical. I didn't just learn about anxiety and depression from textbooks—I know them from the inside out. Having walked through those challenges and found my way to the other side, I have a deep respect for human resilience and the hard work of healing. In our sessions, you can expect a real person who understands the weight of what you are carrying, dedicated to helping you rediscover your strength. I believe clients are the true experts of their own lives. I provide a warm, person-centered environment where you can feel safe, heard, and truly seen. I support all cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and members of the LGBTQI+ community. My practice is rooted in a trauma-informed approach, ensuring our work always moves at your pace. I specialize in helping clients navigate: Anxiety, depression, trauma processing, sleep issues, perfectionism, self-criticism, dissociation, life transitions and relationship issues. I also provide somatic work: bridging the connection between mind and body to release stored tension and process emotions as they show up in the body. I use a mix of therapeutic modalities, depending on what you need as an individual. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Humanistic Therapy and several others.

My Practice & Services

Frequently Asked Questions: Do you offer virtual sessions? Yes, sessions are all online, and my schedule is very flexible -- if my posted hours don't work, we can find another time! What happens in the first session? First is a 15-20 minute free consultation to determine what the areas of concern are, and to work together to see what you would like your sessions to look like. Therapy is not a one-size fits all, and I want you to get the most out of our time working together. How often do sessions typically occur? As often as you need, whether it's multiple times a week or just once a month. How long does therapy usually last? It depends on the issue, how deeply it is affecting your life, and how long it's been a problem for. Everyone needs time to heal from things differently, and healing is not linear. There are ups and downs along the way and it's important to remember that it takes as long as it takes without putting pressure on yourself. How can someone know if you are the right fit? The relationship with your therapist needs to feel right and be productive to be successful. I encourage you to speak each session about what went well and what didn't work for you if you would like, so that the dialogue between us stays honest. Any feedback is good feedback, I am an open book.
