What's My Approach to Therapy?
Life can pull us in so many directions, and it’s easy to feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, especially during big transitions like pregnancy, postpartum, early parenthood, moving, a career change, or divorce.
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I support clients navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, and perinatal mental health with gentle curiosity and compassion. My approach blends talk therapy, mindfulness, and somatic awareness to help you tune into your body and patterns without judgment. For those who are interested, I also offer optional trauma-informed yoga practices to support building self-awareness through gentle movement and breath, always at a pace and in a style that feels right to you.
My goal is to help you build resilience, emotional regulation, and self-compassion, so you can feel more grounded and present for the things that matter. If this resonates, I’d be happy to connect for a free consultation.
My Practice & Services
The name Flexible Minds originates from the idea that when we are too rigid in our thinking, it limits our ability to handle situations with ease. When our mind is flexible, we can move with, rather than against, whatever life throws our way. Flexibility allows us to better adapt and embrace life more fully. We are then able to be present and live more authentically to who we are and who we want to be. The more we can bend, the less we will break.
We offer virtual psychotherapy, walk & talk therapy, somatic therapy, yoga and mental health workshops.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I specialize in pregnancy, postpartum, perinatal, parenting and life transitions.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
I see psychotherapy as a practice of integration, a space where mind and body are invited back into conversation. Just as yoga teaches us to notice the breath, the sensations, and the stories we carry, therapy offers a pause to listen inward with compassion. My goal is to foster inner resilience and to help you move forward with authenticity and ease. Together we can explore a path toward emotional regulation, resiliency and self-compassion.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that we should be able to handle everything on our own. But reaching out for support is not weakness, it is courage. Therapy isn?t about fixing something that?s broken. It?s about honouring your humanity. It?s a space to better understand yourself, untangle old patterns, and move toward the life and relationships you truly want. You are not flawed because you struggle. You are human, and humans are wired for connection and support. Choosing therapy is an act of strength, a decision to care for yourself in a deeper, more intentional way.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
At the heart of meaningful therapy is a safe, trusting relationship. The connection between client and therapist is not just a bonus of the work, it is the work. When you feel seen, heard, and respected without judgment, healing unfolds more naturally. A strong therapeutic alliance creates the safety needed to explore vulnerable places, challenge old patterns, and grow with confidence. I view our relationship as a collaborative partnership built on trust, authenticity, and deep respect for your unique story.
