What's My Approach to Therapy?

Calling all Sensitive Hearts—those who feel deeply, empathic and highly sensitive adults, neurodivergent, trans and queer people, immigrants, creatives, spiritual seekers, and those navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges. I strive to provide a warm, safe, and supportive space for individuals, couples, and families who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or disconnected from themselves or each other. I work with people navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relational conflict, or identity challenges. Who may feel like they’re carrying all the pain and injustice of the world, and unsure of where their place is. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), other somatic, relational, experiential, attachment-based, and mindfulness-based approaches, and Adult Children of Alcoholics & Dysfunctional Families (ACA) Loving Reparenting skills, I help you reconnect with your inner resources, process the hardest parts of life, rebuild trust in yourself, and restore intimacy and safety in your relationships. My goal is to help you feel grounded, seen, and free to fully express and love yourself.

My Practice & Services

I am with you, and we can do this together. Even in a world that can be overwhelming, cruel, senseless, and unjust, your humanity and capacity to love can never be taken away. I help individuals, couples, and families access a deep source of love and safety that can heal trauma, support emotional wellbeing, restore intimacy, and strengthen relationships, guiding you to embrace who you truly are and navigate life with more resilience, connection, and joy.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Shame. Grief. Rage. I walk right alongside you as you express, release and heal. I know what it is like to carry such a heavy load. It is safe to feel it all with me.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

It is not going to save this world but it is where you can learn how to save yourself.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

Definitely listen to your body ~ if you feel warmth, relief, relaxation, release, resonance, energy ~ follow that. If there is constriction, uncertainty, trust yourself. Keep searching until you feel that true, full, embodied *Yes*

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I am no better than you, or anyone. We are all in this together. Fellow travelers. I have struggled with the longstanding effects of trauma and have been through terrifying, excruciating times. Heaps of dysfunction. I have survived many days, and feel so grateful for the days that I thrive. I save my own life, with the help of Love and Life forms all around me, one day a time. So I understand the depths of pain you are in. Perhaps tsunamis and volcanoes of it. I can join you in that storm. Together, we can find safe, calm, warm sunlit shores to rest on.

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

I really do not know what we would all be like in a world free of imperialism, capitalism, colonialism, or any violent system of oppression. But here we are. Disorders very often come from trauma. *It is not what is wrong with you, but what happened to you.* And yet, they can be gateways into healing, community, and self-understanding. I believe they are best held very lightly and not identified with too much, because they can limit us ~ and we are miraculous, mysterious beings who are constantly changing and evolving.
