My Approach to Therapy

Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and deeply human. I work with people who are functioning on the outside, but inside feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in familiar patterns, or exhausted from carrying too much for too long. My approach is integrative and evidence-informed, grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when we understand both what youre experiencing now and why it makes sense given your history, relationships, nervous system, and current stressors. Together, well slow things down enough to name whats happening, make room for what you feel, and build tools that help you respond differentlywithout losing who you are. In our work, we may focus on: - Understanding patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships, - Building emotional regulation and coping skills for stress, anxiety, and burnout, - Strengthening boundaries, communication, and self-trust, - Working through transitions, grief, identity shifts, or stuckness, - Reconnecting with values and creating sustainable change. I aim to offer a space that is warm and directsupportive without being vague, and honest without being harsh. Therapy isnt about fixing you; its about helping you understand yourself more clearly, relate to yourself with more compassion, and make choices that align with the life you want.

Groups I Work With

I work with parents and caregivers supporting children living with serious mental illness, offering a steady, compassionate space to process stress, uncertainty, and the day-to-day demands of caregiving while strengthening coping skills and boundaries. I also support adults navigating life transitions and high stresswhether youre facing a change in relationships, work, identity, or directionand help you find clarity and stability in the midst of uncertainty. In addition, I have experience supporting the helpers, including teachers, nurses, physicians, and first responders, who often carry the weight of others needs and benefit from a confidential place to reset, restore, and build sustainable ways to care for themselves while continuing to show up for others.
