More than just an intellectual endeavor, counseling is a special experience. It is a place where you can begin to enrich your own understanding and perspective. When that happens, the nature of your problems begins to change, appearing more as solutions in disguise. When you agree on the ideas or tools that are helpful, you can try them in day-to-day life and see for yourself how they work. This tends to further reinforce the desire to improve. The process itself is an exploration that can be as interesting as it is emotionally rewarding.
My specialty is to closely listen to my clients and acknowledge where they want to be as people. My job is to translate their ideas and feelings into opportunities. The next step is to determine what adjustments will bring about the desired goals.
I combine compassion with knowledge to foster a therapeutic experience that is supportive and of practical benefit in daily living.
My Practice & Services
My standard rate is $125 per one-hour session (individual, couples, or family counseling).
I am an in-network provider for Aetna and EvernorthCigna. If your health insurance is a PPO that covers out-patient mental health, I can bill it as an out-of-network provider.
