What's My Approach to Therapy?

Accepting new clients – Let me walk with you; you are not alone. I specialize in treating individuals and couples, helping them reclaim their lives by attaining inner freedom and improving the quality of their relationships. Thriving relationships are foundational to a fulfilling life. With intentional care, our connections can become a source of comfort, understanding, and joy. I support couples facing challenges with communication, conflict management, intimacy, and trust, including those recovering from infidelity. I also provide support to individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, and life transitions. I bring over a decade of experience in mental health, starting with an MD and a specialization in psychiatry from Mexico. My passion for mental health led to a fellowship in mood conditions at the Mayo Clinic. More recently, I earned a master’s in marriage and family therapy, and I now hold a license to practice in the state of Ohio. Tailoring the psychotherapy you need is my mission. I offer a wide, inclusive perspective. You are a step closer to a new you, where you feel at your full potential. Schedule a call. I’d love to hear your story and see how I can support you.

My Role as a Therapist

I am committed to providing an inclusive, affirming, and emotionally safe therapeutic space where individuals, couples, and families feel respected, supported, and genuinely seen. My practice is grounded in the belief that meaningful healing happens when people feel safe to show up as their full, authentic selves. In my work, I strive to foster an environment rooted in compassion, dignity, and connection, where clients are free to explore their identities, relationships, and emotional needs without fear of judgment or marginalization. I welcome and affirm people of all backgrounds, including diverse religious or non-religious identities, races, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, neurodiversity, mental health experiences, physical differences, and abilities. At the core of my approach is a deep respect for our shared human need for connection, belonging, and secure attachment. Therapy is a space where these needs can be explored, honored, and strengthened, supporting personal growth and more fulfilling relationships.
