I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I have worked in the social services field for two decades. I received my Master of Science in Social Work in 2012 from the University of Texas at Arlington, and I completed my Doctor of Social Work in 2023 from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I have specialized training in complex developmental trauma and attachment, supporting the mental health needs of autistic people, and working with children, teens, and young adults. During my time as a social worker and therapist, I have provided services in multiple settings, including community mental health, private practice, residential treatment, and pediatric hospitals.
Over the years, I have been asked many times why I became a therapist, and there have been a number of answers I have given. But one of them has always remained the same: I know what it is like to be hurting and not know what to do or who to turn to. My goal is to provide a space where your concerns can be worked on safely and openly.
