My Approach to Therapy
If you're looking for a therapist, chances are you're carrying more than you want to carry alone. You may be feeling overwhelmed by grief, stuck in the effects of trauma, exhausted from trying to hold everything together, or struggling to navigate a major life transition. Perhaps you've been doing your best to keep going, but something inside you knows it's time for support.
I want you to know that you don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My role is to meet you where you are and offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences without judgement.
I take a collaborative, person-centred approach to therapy, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. Together, we'll work to better understand what you're carrying, identify your strengths, and develop tools to help you feel more grounded, connected, and resilient. Depending on your needs, I may integrate eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and body-based approaches, recognizing that grief and trauma often affect both the mind and body.
My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, build self-trust, and move toward a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.
My Practice & Services
I provide virtual therapy for adults throughout Colorado, allowing clients to access support from the comfort and privacy of their own space. In addition to individual therapy, I offer eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and body-based approaches, including Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), to support healing from grief, trauma, and life transitions.
I also facilitate workshops and groups focused on grief, trauma, nervous system regulation, and personal growth. My practice is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person's unique journey. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can discuss your needs, answer questions, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
When I first entered the mental health field, I was passionate about helping others navigate grief, trauma, and life's challenges. Over the years, I sat with countless clients in their pain and witnessed the strength it takes to keep moving forward during difficult times.
While my education, training, and clinical experience have been invaluable, my own experiences with loss and hardship deepened my understanding in ways that no textbook ever could. I learned firsthand how isolating grief can feel, how overwhelming it can be to carry emotions that are difficult to put into words, and how healing often takes longer and looks different than we expect.
These experiences have made me a more compassionate, patient, and authentic therapist. They have reinforced my belief that healing is not about "getting over" what has happened, but about learning how to move forward while honoring your experiences. Today, I bring both professional expertise and genuine empathy into my work, creating a space where clients can feel supported, understood, and empowered on their own unique journey.
