My Approach to Therapy

Hi, I’m Aaron, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC# 21391) practicing online and in person in Surrey, BC. I strongly believe in the power of therapy to facilitate personal growth, healing, and empowerment. My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their concerns. I hope to support you in finding resolution to your problems by guiding you to focus on yourself in a safe space to be heard. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from various evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I tailor my approach to suit the unique needs and goals of each individual, fostering a collaborative and client-centered therapeutic relationship. I believe that the therapeutic journey is a joint effort between the client and the counsellor; when a trusting relationship develops, it creates an environment for openness and growth - which are innate abilities that we all have potential for.I provide a supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors openly. Together, we will identify patterns, develop insights, and work towards meaningful and sustainable changes. I adhere to the highest standards of ethical practice and prioritize client confidentiality. Your privacy and trust are of utmost importance to me, and all sessions are conducted in a safe and confidential setting.
