While I hold the title of psychotherapist, I am also an artist, mom, daughter, and, most importantly, a fellow human being. I believe empathy, listening, and being able to relate are essential ingredients for a competent therapist. My theoretical point of view is rooted in person-centered (Rogerian or client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based therapy. By integrating these methods, I aim to equip clients with practical tools to manage their anxiety and improve their overall well-being.
I see myself as a source of unconditional support, a sounding board and a safe place for others to do the work of therapy. The therapeutic office is a sacred and unique space that gives others space to sort through their experiences, beliefs, and hopes. In my office, this happens in a developmentally appropriate way that allows anyone from the age of three up to work through the struggles that bring them to therapy. These interventions may include traditional talk interventions, experiential interventions like play therapy and sand tray therapy, EMDR, as well as narrative and art interventions. My eclectic approach allows Individuals to choose the best way for them to engage in the process of therapy.
I have over a decade of experience helping clients in couples therapy, marriage counseling, premarital counseling, and individual counseling. I can confidently provide hope for my clients because I have seen positive outcomes so many times with couples and individuals who started therapy with me feeling hopeless that their situation could ever improve, and, despite these negative expectations, they have gone on to have profoundly positive experiences with me in therapy. One of the reasons why I tend to be hopeful and optimistic with my clients is that I have lots of training in therapy models that are evidence-based and shown to be effective. I find that, especially when working with couples, having that extra training is vital. I draw mainly from emotionally focused therapy and internal family systems when working with clients. I offer a range of therapy services, including couples and marriage counseling, premarital counseling, and individual therapy. As a therapist, I work with couples and individuals who struggle with a wide range of concerns and problems, some of which include relationship problems, affairs, depression, anxiety, struggles coping with trauma, and parenting problems. Thank you for considering me to be your therapist. Please check out my website for additional details about my practice.
You do not have to be alone in dealing with the troubling feelings that keep you from being your best. I am easy to talk to, experienced, and willing to help find solutions to regain your personal resilience. In a non-judgmental, safe space we can work together to unpack the experiences that are interfering with your ability to feel grounded. Focusing on your strengths, we will reflect on the past and present, while keeping an eye to your future self. For over 20 years, I have worked with adults and adolescents struggling with acute needs, such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, as well as personal under-achievement. I work with families and adults to find strategies suitable to their struggle. I understand that your day might be busy and your hours dictated by things you “should” be doing, but I encourage you to prioritize your health and happiness by utilizing a space where you get to tell your personal story.
If you’re reading this, you might be carrying more than you feel you should have to carry alone. Maybe you’ve tried to push through, stay strong, or make sense of things on your own, but something in you is saying it’s time for real support. I want you to know that you’re not “too much,” you’re not broken, and you don’t have to keep doing this by yourself. I show up as a real person in the room with you—warm, grounded, and fully invested in understanding your inner world. Together, we slow things down, make space for the parts of you that are hurting, and explore what’s driving your emotions, patterns, and symptoms. My work integrates medication management with psychotherapy in every session, because I believe healing happens most fully when both the mind and the nervous system are supported. You’ll notice that our work is collaborative. I won’t talk at you or hand you generic advice. Instead, we explore your story together, with curiosity and compassion. I often use Internal Family Systems (IFS), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) principles, and other trauma-informed approaches to help you move toward clarity, grounding, and real change. Many of my clients are navigating identity, faith, relationships, or the impact of past trauma, and I hold those experiences with care and respect. My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered—not just stabilized, but genuinely connected to who you are and where you want to go. You bring your lived experience, and I bring the clinical tools. Together, we build something that can truly help you heal.
My Masters Degree is in Humanistic and Clinical Psychology. The heart of my approach is humanistic. My 35 years in private practice has been centered on compassion, honesty, and goal focused therapy. I strongly believe in the individual'sfamily's ability to heal themselves with proper guidance and a witness to their process. In my work with couples and parents, I place a strong emphasis on accountability as essential to improvement in relationships. I often will work on an individual basis with both members of a couple, as well as seeing them together. This allows me a comprehensive understanding of all contributing factors in a couple's problems. I have the ability not to "take sides" in couple or family problems. The result has been a high success rate in my family and marital therapy. In my work with children, I always evaluate a child's problem in the context of the family system. Parents need to be willing to be involved in the treatment. Sometimes I will meet only with the parents, with excellent results.

My approach is collaborative and compassionate, with a strong focus on building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I utilize evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strength-based therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Treatment is thoughtfully tailored to support emotional growth, develop effective coping strategies, and promote meaningful, lasting change. I believe that with consistent support and positive guidance, healing is possible. I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey toward greater balance, clarity, and well-being, and I invite you to reach out when you are ready to begin.
My approach to therapy is an integrative one, allowing me to tailor treatment to each individual based on their unique strengths, limitations, needs, and goals. The alliance between client and therapist is one of the most important factors in therapy outcome. For this reason, I always strive to build a collaborative professional relationship with my clients that is based on trust and mutual respect. I do this by showing my clients unconditional positive regard that honors their individuality, authenticity, and their ability to choose their own path through self-determination and Self-leadership. It is my goal to always provide a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore and process their issues and concerns. I also encourage clients to learn and develop the skills necessary to create and maintain positive changes in their lives long beyond their time in therapy. While I am highly skilled in mental health assessment and diagnosis, I believe that a diagnosis is merely one tool for informing treatment. Regardless of diagnosis, it's very important to me to treat the individual rather than the label. I also wish to help my clients enhance and add value to their lives in addition to alleviating their bothersome symptoms.
