I have my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and have worked with adults with depression, anxiety, and LGBTQIA issues. I have an interest in religious trauma and spiritual abuse and want to help you break free from those wounds from religion.

I work with each client as a team effort. Each person I see has their own story and unique perspective on that story, and I believe that within that story are the seeds of healing. My approach is to see you as a whole person who is struggling with something, whether it is anxiety, depression, relationship issues, substance abuse, communication, parenting, trauma, etc. Most often, it is how we perceive a situation or a struggle that shapes how we deal with it or respond to it. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia, I hope I can help you with whatever your struggle may be, and help you rewrite your story. My favorite book of all time is Viktor Frankl's *Man's Search for Meaning*. One of the many wonderful things he says in that book is, "When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves."

I am Kristina Joseph, a Licensed Clinical Social worker. My main goal is to meet the client where they are in their mental health journey. This means I work with each client to better understand which modality works best for them. I use different best practices techniques in order to help my clients where they are at the point of the first session as well as the 100th session. I change based on what my clients need. I work with my clients to decide what works best for them. They are the true expert of their lives; I am here to guide their better selves.

I truly believe that life is comparable to a journey. As we learn new skills we increase our ability to maneuver around major obstacles, and if we are headed for disaster it is imperative that we change our direction. My therapeutic style is based on the principles of self-respect, personal responsibility, and honesty. However, my professional experience has taught me that effective therapy is a two way street. The therapist and the person in treatment must collaborate in order to get the most out of each session. It is true that making lasting positive changes requires great effort and commitment. Nevertheless, I will provide the tools, professional support, and advice you need as you make each step on your personal journey to health and happiness.

Hello, I am Glenda Sloan, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and my approach is to provide a safe welcoming environment for clients to express their concerns and hopes for improvement. Requesting help when it is needed is wise and I am excited to journey with you on your pathway to better. My approach is client-centered because your experiences matter. I primarily use Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Reality Therapy but will provide eclectic therapy to meet your needs. I believe that your thoughts, feelings, and actions matter so choosing to change some things will be important as you set goals. Due to the virtual platform, I work most effectively with teenagers, adults, and couples facing relationship conflicts and life crises. If you are feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, heartbroken, or angry with the events in your life, I am here to listen to what happened to you and together we can develop a plan for change. I am a compassionate listener and will not judge. I will offer some other options for your consideration because you will be making the decisions for your life. I believe you deserve to be heard and I offer you the truth gently because words have power. I will encourage you to speak kindly to yourself because love begins with you. I have always wanted to help others feel better and my life's work has done just that in one form or another. I have been counseling for over 20 years and helping those dealing with a life crisis has been the most rewarding experience. Counseling is not a career to me, it is a calling. I believe that each client knows what is needed even if they do not know how to verbalize it so I will listen and use your words to develop a plan for change. Some clients will need more support than others and that will be provided as needed. In our first session, I will be gathering a history from you so there will be many questions and I want you to be open and honest. What you share is confidential and if you are not able to be honest then what are we doing here? Your time with me is important so when we meet we will work to make progress and I frequently give assignments.

Hello, I’m James! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is passionate about helping clients build a full and meaningful life while accepting and managing the stressors that life inevitably brings. My approach is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (also known as ACT Therapy). ACT is a very active form of psychotherapy that utilizes acceptance and mindfulness strategies to help you stay focused on the present moment and manage difficult thoughts and emotions. I have a special interest in supporting clients who struggle with chronic pain issues, anxiety, depression, and chronic stress. I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space to explore your issues and express your concerns. I became a therapist to help relieve the suffering of others, based on my own struggle with life’s challenges and being “stuck” doing the same things with no long-term results. I work collaboratively with clients to clarify their values and set values-based goals. We work together to create action plans that move clients towards living a life that is meaningful and purposeful to THEM! Our first session will focus on establishing a warm, kind, open, and authentic relationship. In the words of acclaimed ACT therapist and trainer Russ Harris, “When we give our full attention to another human being with openness, compassion, and curiosity, that is therapeutic in itself.”
