You know how when things are moving too fast and you reach for the "chill" button and it's nowhere in sight? Or, perhaps you're feeling so shut down that you can't find some "giddy up and go" if your life depended on it? Don't give up! I'm here to help. Here's a curious thing...ever notice how body stuff is so front-and-central in twigging to signs of stress? And, how often we shove these signals away as annoyances and "park them at the curb". For the most part, we typically run away from seemingly negative physical symptoms, deferring to the "whys" or thoughts about what's happening. The good news is that when you discover the "wisdom" of nagging body sensations, ease out of stuck emotional states, and shift away from relentless negative self-talk, you've turned a major corner into feeling better on so many levels. I welcome the opportunity to help you learn how to go deeper within yourself and experience mind-body-spirit healing. Give me a call today!

To make the unconscious conscious! The Dynamics of Intimacy and Relational Distress Difficulties within marital relationships and sexual health often stem from deeply ingrained psychological patterns that operate outside of immediate awareness. When couples encounter persistent conflict, loss of intimacy, or sexual dysfunction, these challenges are rarely just surface-level issues; they are often manifestations of unresolved underlying conflict. Therapy in this practice is designed to address the root causes of these struggles rather than simply managing immediate symptoms. By examining the deeper psychological forces that shape human behavior and attachment, individuals and couples can uncover the core reasons behind their relational and sexual barriers. Core Areas of Focus: Sex therapy: Comprehensive clinical intervention that addresses the psychological, emotional, and systemic factors that disrupt sexual functioning, desire, and physical intimacy. Marital and relational conflict: Analysis of repetitive, destructive behavioral cycles within relationships to foster deeper emotional connection and structural stability. Depth psychotherapy: Specialized individual treatment aimed at resolving internal conflict, intimacy anxieties, and personal barriers to well-being. The Therapeutic Framework This practice offers a highly structured, confidential, and clinical environment for those seeking profound and enduring change. The therapeutic process is tailored for individuals and couples who want a rigorous, analytical approach to complex relational dynamics and sexual health, with a clear pathway toward authentic resolution and relational growth.

Seeking therapy often begins with a quiet realization that something is not working. You may feel anxious without knowing why, stuck in relationship patterns that repeat, overwhelmed by identity questions, struggling with attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), addiction, or emotional regulation, or carrying experiences that feel too heavy to hold alone. I am a PhD, Licensed Counsellor, and trained psychotherapist with more than 12 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and teaching. My work bridges deep psychological training with real-world application. I have supported individuals, couples, youth, and families across diverse cultural backgrounds, including those navigating neurodivergence, trauma, addiction recovery, relationship conflict, and 2SLGBTQIA+ identity exploration. My approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and mindfulness-based interventions. In addition to clinical practice, I have published research on psychological harm in workplaces, authored books on leadership and mental health, and developed frameworks supporting attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) and autism in both personal and professional contexts. This allows me to see not only symptoms, but patterns, systems, and deeper psychological dynamics that shape your experience. Clients choose to work with me because they want both depth and direction. Therapy in my practice is thoughtful, structured, and collaborative. We work to understand the root of your struggles, regulate emotional intensity, strengthen relationships, and build sustainable coping strategies. You will find a space that is culturally sensitive, affirming, and grounded in evidence-based care. If you are looking for a therapist who combines clinical expertise with genuine presence, I invite you to reach out. You do not have to navigate this alone.

Stress that won't switch off - saying yes when we wish we said no - constantly over-thinking: these are signs of a nervous system stuck in survival mode. Patterns of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and anxiety aren't random. Perhaps these still feel necessary, or maybe they feel like flaws - they're not, at some point they helped. But, are we faithfully following a rule-book that no longer applies? WHO I WORK WITH: I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (regulated in Ontario, CRPO), now based in BC. I provide secure online psychodynamic therapy to clients across Ontario and British Columbia. I work with adults who are tired of just surviving, and are looking to change old patterns that no longer serve them: chronic anxiety, stress that won't switch off, relational difficulties, or a sense of being stuck in familiar loops, to name a few. WHAT CHANGES: Over time, the experience of being heard and attuned-to in therapy grooves an embodied sense of safety. As the nervous system finds more capacity to shift out of 'survival', more becomes available: rest that actually restores, patience in hard conversations, deeper connection with the people you love. Painful or shameful parts that once felt monstrous are often revealed as misunderstood - parts that were only ever trying to protect. A NOTE ON HOW I WORK: I tend to play my cards face up. I'll tell you what I'm thinking and why, so the work doesn't feel like a black box. I'm comfortable with ambiguity and the messiness of real human experience. I won't rush you toward simple answers. There's no fixed route - I'm here to accompany you on a journey led by your innate drive toward healing. That said, I provide a steadying hand, or guidance, when needed. Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent 13 years practicing as a chiropractor, which shaped my deep respect for the mind-body connection in healing, and informs my therapy practice. CONNECT: I offer a free introductory session (30–50 minutes) to get a feel for whether my approach feels right — fit matters, even if you're not sure yet what you're looking for.

I work with individuals navigating trauma, complex family dynamics, and uncertainty about their life direction—especially those who feel caught between who they are and who they were expected to be. I specialize in trauma and family dynamics, with a particular focus on experiences within Asian families. Together, we can explore how your upbringing and cultural context have shaped you, process past wounds, and help you reconnect with a stronger sense of identity and purpose. I also support clients who feel stuck or unsure about their next steps. Whether you’re considering a career change, adjusting to life in a new country, or navigating shifting relationships, I offer a space to explore what matters most and move forward with clarity and confidence. I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities, and I’m especially committed to supporting those who identify as Asian and, more broadly, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour). I bring an understanding of how systemic and cultural factors can shape your experiences, relationships, and sense of self. In our work together, I show up as a real person. I will laugh and sit with you in difficult moments. I will support and guide you—but I will also gently challenge you when you’re getting in your own way, always with care and respect. I have experience supporting clients facing anxiety, depression, stress, fertility challenges, and the impacts of systemic oppression. My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself in a deep and meaningful way, so you can begin to feel more grounded, safe, and aligned in your life. My lived experience as a trauma survivor also informs my work, allowing me to meet you with empathy, attunement, and a genuine understanding of what it means to heal and grow.

My commitment to clients is to explore areas of the psyche, emotions and spirit in an environment of safety and deeply held respect for individuals and their partner. We will examine how you and your family's beliefs and values both hinder and help you on your particular path. To the degree that you seek change, I will work with you and your partner to see what in your actions, thoughts and feelings is in the way of greater freedom and loving experience in your life. Through the interaction between us, in addition to what you/your partner/family bring, we will work toward those changes. Your input into the process of treatment is very important. Achievement of clients' treatment goals is the result of a collaborative effort between you and I. My relationship with clients will continue only so long as it is reasonably clear to my client(s) and my self that they are benefiting from the relationship. If a referral is appropriate, I will assist my client(s) in obtaining other therapeutic services. You have the right and responsibility to choose a therapist who best suits your needs and purposes. You can discontinue treatment or ask for a referral to another therapist at any time.
