My ideal clients are people who are ready for change in their lives but aren’t sure where to begin. My approach to therapy is similar to walking a trail together. We may not know where it’s leading, and the path can have twists and turns, but my aim is to assist you as you navigate your path and support you every step of the way. I work with clients in a person-centered way and use interventions, skills, and tools that fit each person. I work with people experiencing chronic anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), difficulty with change, major life events or loss, and many other concerns. I’ve found that each person must be met where they are. This is an important principle to me because, as we work together, I want to help you find skills and tools that are the best fit for your needs. “It’s the job that’s never started that takes the longest to finish” is a quote I always find uplifting. Whenever you are ready to begin your journey, it is my hope that I can be here to walk with you along the way. I take an eclectic approach to therapy and draw from a wide variety of modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), existential therapy, cognitive processing therapy (CPT), trauma-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), gestalt therapy, and client-centered therapy.
