This specialty yoga class is designed to help clients unwind and find relief from a stressful work day and/or stressful life event. Holding stress and tension in the body can have an unbelievably negative impact on the body in terms of mental wellbeing and physical health. During this 60 minute class, clients will learn techniques to reduce the impact of stress before, during and after a stressful life event as well as engage in a yoga practice that focuses on strengthening and restorative postures, cooling and calming breath, guided visualization and non-directive dialogue. While yoga centered therapy has been proven to increase the benefits of other therapeutic treatment modalities and is available to existing therapy clients, this class is also beneficial to students who are not in therapy.
