Description

The pandemic and its ever-changing presentation has provided new challenges that none of us had imagined. This is a group for anyone experiencing anxiety, loneliness, stress, depression, or loss of a loved one due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It provides a space of support and hope to deal with how life has changed, and to create meaningful and joyful experiences as well as resiliency during the stress of the pandemic. Cost: BCBS PPO or Self Pay ($90). Duration: 90 min weekly

Consultation will cover numerous areas related to your overall well-being. Dr. Shoaib Memon will answer any questions you have about working collaboratively in a group therapy setting.

Shoaib Memon, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist serving patients for more than 14 years throughout Illinois from his practice located in Downtown Chicago. He helps patient with a variety of mental health conditions including but not limited to Anxiety, Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Self Esteem, Life Transition, Alcohol Use, and Trauma. Dr. Memon completed his undergraduate studies at University of Illinois at Chicago and medical school at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois. He finished his psychiatry residency at the University of Chicago, and fellowship in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry at Northwestern University. He completed further education and training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute, and is also a Certified Group Psychotherapist under the International Board for the Certification of Group Psychotherapists. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Memon is a Clinical Associate at the University of Chicago where he also teaches courses in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Dr. Memon also speaks and can provide services in Spanish, Urdu/Hindi and Punjabi. Dr. Memon?s other interests including studying music including vocals, guitar and harmonium. He also enjoys learning languages, traveling, and playing basketball.
