Description

Life doesn't make sense after the death of a child of any age. Listen, share and learn to cope with the help of a grief counselor and other parents who have lost a teenage or adult child. This small, confidential support group is for parents who are overwhelmed by depression, anxiety, anger, guilt, flashbacks or emotional numbness. An experienced counselor will share information and resources on issues bereaved parents often face and facilitate discussion on issues you are currently experiencing. Topics include: What to expect when grieving. Parental identity after loss. Coping skills. Managing the response of friends, family and strangers. Dealing with birthdays, holidays and anniversaries. Guilt. Layers of grief. Making sense of life.
