Specific Populations Treated:
Vision: Empowering adults with mental illness, and those who support them, with an unrelenting optimism for recovery, purposeful involvement in the community, and an enhanced sense of meaning in life. At Colorado Recovery, we believe that a person with a mental health disorder like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression or other mental health challenges can get better and stay better. Our services are ideal for someone leaving a psychiatric hospital or for someone seeking a less-stigmatizing, more customized alternative to hospitalization. At our highest level of care, treatment is intensive, staff are present 24/7, and services are similar to those you would find in an inpatient hospital. Clients receive a thorough assessment with a renowned psychiatrist and treatment team upon admission. Clients can progress through the program at their own pace, we have a transitional living program and intensive outpatient services. We provide cutting-edge therapy, case management, resource navigation, money management, medication monitoring, group therapy, pet therapy, life skills training and effective career counseling.
Community-Based Care
At Colorado Recovery we foster a great sense of community among our clients. Having a sense of belonging can be an essential piece of mental well-being. We keep our program small to ensure that the environment is pleasant and each person receives tailored care. Colorado Recovery is one of the few treatment centers in the country that provides long-term, community-based care for people with mental health challenges. Each week members can participate in hikes, volunteer work, yoga, open art studio and outings. Clients can choose to participate in quarterly backpacking trips with trained Wilderness Therapists. The program helps prepare clients for success in work, relationships, community engagement and education. We often help clients go back to school. Clients at Colorado Recovery are twice as likely to be in paid employment, compared to the national average.
