My Approach to Helping
I help families, individuals, and couples to reduce stress and conflict, increase communication, improve important relationships, lower depression and anxiety, boost self-esteem, and live fuller, happier lives. I see each individual as part of a context of relationships (wife, mother, father, child, friend, etc.). Not only does therapy help the individual grow; It also helps their relationships and families grow, even though only the individual has sought treatment!
Seeking therapy is a courageous decision, and many clients continue with therapy long after a crisis has passed. The journey of therapy can be a very rewarding one that can even protect you from years or even decades of fear, anguish, guilt, pain, or worry.
It is a privilege for me to walk alongside my clients as they journey toward better lives. I've worked extensively with people in crisis, including those struggling with suicidal feelings, drug addiction, and schizophrenia, as well as those struggling with more mundane issues such as self-esteem. I find it incredibly rewarding to watch my clients grow, gain more control over their lives, and achieve happiness. I hope to help you see the same positive changes in your own life!
