My Approach to Helping

My name is Willie Campbell. I am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia. I am also certified as a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC). I am very passionate about helping others and I have a breadth of experience working with children, teens and adults from diverse backgrounds in a variety of treatment settings (e.g., private residences, group homes, residential treatment facilities, psychiatric hospitals, long-term facilities and in-clinic in private practice).

I enjoy helping children, teens and adults meet their needs and receive a lot of joy and satisfaction from their accomplishments. I typically pull from treatment approaches (e.g., Person or Client Centered counseling, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), etc.) that best meet your needs or fit your clinical situation.

I have helped countless children, teens and adults overcome their issues and improve their overall well-being. If you believe we would be a good match, please reach out to me. Together we can discuss and work through your concerns and/or issues.

My Role as a Therapist

I view my role as a therapist as a catalyst for helping people change or find solutions to their issues utilizing a variety of therapeutic tools in my toolbox and the resources at their disposal.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

I strongly believe that in order for therapy to be effective, a therapeutic alliance between the therapist and client must be achieved as therapy is a relationship between the client and therapist in which both are expected to change through interactions in the process of therapy. This is an asymmetrical process in that the client is expected to change more than the therapist.
