My Approach to Helping
We all have "buttons", or "triggers", something that seems to provoke an immediate reaction. Some of these reactions feel healthy and supportive. Others seem to defy rational thought and create suffering. "They hijack our intentions and desires." "They interfere with our ability to be understood," and damage connections or relationships. I can help you to examine these reactions, to understand them, and look at the need or belief that is behind those "triggers." Together we will help you develop new patterns, ways to listen, and be heard, to have responses that enhance understanding and connection.
More Info About My Practice
I honed my skills working in community and managed care mental health clinics. When I opened my practice I gave myself a "gift" of scheduling my sessions for 90 minutes. I don't want you to feel rushed, and I don't want to feel pressure to "speed things up." I find that elements of Hakomi find their way into almost all of my work. This gentle, non-violent, method of "assisted self-study" helps add depth and connection to our work together.
$110 for 90 minute session.
I do not accept insurance(*)
Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card.
(*)Some of my clients have received reimbursement for our sessions from their insurance providers. It is up to you to check with your insurance company about possible reimbursement.

I work with Individuals and couples. Often the issues we work with have been addressed in the past, but continue to show up and create difficulties.
