My Approach to Helping
People have a built-in capacity to heal. To assist in that process I help clients identify and weed out patterns of thought that lead to emotional distress, often incorporating mindfulness and relaxation techniques. In couples therapy I assist partners to learn proven ways to communicate, resolve conflict, and regain shared values and goals.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Entering therapy doesn't have to be a long, drawn-out process, and you will usually be able to tell if counseling will be effective for you within just a few sessions. You, the client, are in control, and can decide when and if you wish to end treatment. You really have nothing to lose...except those difficulties which are troubling you.
