My Approach to Helping
I believe that we all struggle at different times in our lives. As humans, we are not meant to struggle alone which makes therapy such a useful support for the hard times we face. I think that everyone has the strength, courage, and ability to successfully navigate the tough times. As a therapist, I feel that it is my job to help you recognize the strength, courage, tools, supports, knowledge, and ability that you have within yourself as well as encourage you to grow in ways that you perhaps did not even think possible.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Children and Adolescent Therapy, Couples Counseling, Parenting, Life Transitions, Women's Issues, Family of Origin Issues
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
It is an honor and a privilege to witness the journey of others. I am able to watch people set and meet goals as they grow and develop into their best selves.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Brene Brown says, "We don't have to do it all alone. We weren't meant to." I believe that as humans, we struggle and we suffer. And we are not meant to endure the pain alone. Reaching out to get assistance means that you are brave and courageous. It means that you understand the importance of connection and how connection can lead to profound healing and growth.
