My Approach to Helping

My name is Wanting Walker, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I believe that people are different and have their own unique stories. Whether you are battling with your own negative thoughts, struggling with anxiety or depression, or facing parenting challenges. I am here to help you find the strengths that are already within yourself so that you can be your authentic self.

I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help individuals who may be overthinking, feeling overwhelmed, or seeking clarity. I love helping others find ways to empower themselves by recognizing their resilience. My areas of expertise are working with families that have multicultural backgrounds or couples that are seeking to strengthen their relationships.

As an immigrant who has lived in the US for over 20 years, I am confident to say that my cultural background will bring a fresh view to your life. I am also working hard to break the stigma of seeking mental health support in Asian communities. I offer therapy in English, as well as Mandarin. I look forward to meeting you and starting the process of healing.
