My Approach to Helping
At Shift, we use a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy and bilateral stimulation. The goal of our therapy is to get to the root cause of your concerns, as opposed to just coming up with band-aid solutions. To do this, we look at some of your early emotional or even traumatic memories. Through bilateral stimulation, we remove the emotions that are attached to those memories. The result is that when you come across similar situations, you don’t have that same emotional reaction that might make you feel depressed, or unmotivated, or lash out at the people you love. The hope is that you can lead a more productive and fulfilling life, without those intrusive thoughts, behaviours, and emotions!
