My Approach to Helping
Whether you're entering therapy or beginning a psychological evaluation, you have unique goals for our work together. That's why I tailor my approach to you. I believe that you and I should always work collaboratively, working as a team to developing a plan to achieve your goals.
More Info About My Practice
In my therapy practice, I'll help you discover how to create the most fulfilling possible life. We'll start by defining your goals for yourself or your child. Then we'll combine your expertise about who you are and what you want with my expertise in psychology. From there, we'll work collaboratively to achieve your personal goals. Together, we'll work to solve problems, increase self-esteem, enhance relationships, improve behavior, or increase overall well-being.
In addition to therapy, I also have a comprehensive psychological testing practice. Using established tests and standardized measures, testing gathers the puzzle pieces that represent your coping skills, personality traits, knowledge sets, and intellectual attributes. These pieces reveal a complex picture of strengths and weaknesses that illuminate the underlying causes of symptoms which may have troubled you for years.
With this knowledge comes the ability to tailor strategies to help you put your strengths to greater work and effectively address weaknesses. Perhaps most importantly, when clients no longer feel their minds are an unsolvable puzzle, you can finally meet your full potential.
