My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. I received my Master's degree in Social Work from Aurora University, and I have been licensed since 2013. I have worked with clients with a vast array of needs and concerns including depression, anxiety, hospice and end-of-life concerns, caregiver concerns, drug and alcohol addiction, racial and discrimination issues, and posttraumatic stress to name a few.
I am also a Christian and have had great success with helping Christian clients to decrease their depression and anxiety, by assisting them with strengthening their faith through the word of God and prayer. I am also a Black woman who has life and professional experience with navigating racial issues and discrimination.
With that being said, I am not limited to only working with Christian clients or Black people. I have had great success working with people from all walks of life.
I am a great listener who is non-judgmental and compassionate. I have had difficulties in my life that have caused me to seek counseling as well, so I understand how it feels to be vulnerable. If you are ready to take that step, I am ready to listen.
