I imagine that things aren't going so well and that's why you are here. I'm so sorry you are in this spot but I am so grateful you are here and ready to reach out. It takes a lot of courage getting help. No one wants to feel miserable, anxious, overwhelmed, angry, or ashamed. For over a decade I've focused on helping people like yourself to get through difficult times, major stressors, life changing transitions, and traumatic events. I have never believed that 'one size fits all' in terms of approaches to helping people. Although I have a background in 'evidenced based treatment' my lens as a therapist has been to meet my clients where they are at with compassion, openness, and empathy.

More Info About My Practice

I have a small private practice in the heart of the Bankers Hill area in San Diego. I am what you call an "old soul" and have probably been helping people one way or another since I was a kid. My background is diverse in terms of therapy. I have been a "crisis clinician", "case manager", "group therapist", and an "individual therapist." I'd like to think about myself sometimes as a "cruise ship director." I won't make decisions for you but I'll help you come up with plenty of options to create the life you want to live.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have a history of working hand in hand with individuals who have suffered through traumatic experiences or challenging life transitions (grief/loss). I have extensive experience working with individuals who have suffered through traumatic events and/or have been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I use cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy techniques and have training to utilize CPT (cognitive processing therapy) and mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR).
