My Approach to Helping
I'm a licensed therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), and life transitions. My approach focuses on developing awareness of how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, fostering resilience, and empowering clients to work through their challenges.
I enjoy creating a non-judgmental and affirming space for adults with short-term or long-standing mental health and emotional distress. Feelings of anxiety, and the need for isolation, can be internal cues to request reconnection to what makes our lives meaningful. Ideally, enjoying the moment, knowing how to soothe overwhelming feelings, and engaging our sparkling personalities helps us feel alive.
My clients enjoy my approach of exploring practical strategies by using guiding questions. Exploring thoughts and emotional pain benefits from curiosity and compassion. I am also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), which can be supportive in reframing negative belief systems and releasing trauma.
