My Approach to Helping
What I find to be most important in life is the authentic journey we create for ourselves. To be human is to experience loss on many levels. I feel honored to work with individuals who are seeking support adjusting to new life roles, loss of a loved one, loss of a relationship, families and individuals coping with illness. You should feel proud for for taking the first step, this is not a small thing. Therapy can be one of the most rewarding experiences. When we speak our truth we allow room for growth and healing. Whether you need to process a difficult situation, find help with a relationship, rediscover yourself, or are in need of support. You have come to the right place.
For an individual to feel whole we must first heal the relationship that we have with ourselves. To allow us to create healthy boundaries with toxic people or situations, speak up for our wants and needs, to feel safe and fulfilled at the end of each day. I want you to leave my office feeling empowered.
Therapy is a rare and personal experience and important to be tailored to each individual. You are unique. Together we will explore your past, present and create positive life goals and growth for your future. You are the most important part of this process and your voice will be heard.
I offer a holistic approach working mainly from an Existential background while incorporating Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for depression and anxiety concerns.
Grief and Loss is a population I work very closely with as I have found a trans formative purpose in specializing in this area. If you have lost a loved one you know that deep ache in the pit of your heart. How can I possibly live a life without my loved one? What will this new landscape look like? As your therapist I will be there alongside you to let you know you aren't losing your mind or going crazy as most people describe they early stages of grief just as such. You have lost a partner in life whether a spouse, parent, sibling or friend. The world should feel different, they are no longer here. I want to learn about them, honor them through you and support you on this new path as we walk through "griefs unknown wilderness" together. Together we will find tools along the way to keep you grounded, safe and connected to life again.
