My Approach to Helping
I take an honest, supportive approach to help clients learn the skills they need to help them better cope with their struggles. I approach each client as an individual and tailor goals and treatments based on their needs.
I offer therapy services for adolescents to adults of all ages. I specialize in depression and anxiety, relationship issues, and family conflict. I am especially experienced at:
Self-Exploration: Knowing exactly who you are can be difficult to discover on your own and can seem daunting. I open my office to you when you need to develop that confidence in yourself. It’s important to know and love yourself.
College Student Support: The transition from high school to college is a large step. I can help you through that transition to find the optimal time management, coach you through socializing, and depression and anxiety issues you may be having.
Mindfulness for Life Skills: I offer the unique experience to practice mindfulness to improve your life skills. Different life skills I have seen results with are socialization, sleep patterns, and sleep hygiene.
In therapy, I use different therapeutic approaches for each person, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. Everyone has a unique experience that I want to make sure is addressed. If traditional talk therapy isn’t ideal for you, I am dedicated to find what you need.
I earned my MS from Northern Illinois University and have experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health. Off the clock, I love the outdoors, photography, and connecting with nature.
