My Approach to Helping

Are you struggling in your relationships? Are you noticing you're anxious, stressed out and looking for some relief? Are you struggling with self-esteem and feeling like you are enough? I can help. As a marriage and family therapist, I can assist you in maneuvering through difficult life transitions, challenging relationships & help you improve your quality of life. I particularly enjoy helping others in the areas of trauma, relational issues, emerging adulthood, self esteem, codependency, addiction issues and life cycle changes.
My specialty is working with both individuals and couples in areas of communication, conflict resolution, trauma, and addiction to name a few. I am a certified PrepareENRICH facilitator, trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and I utilize Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work (a research-based approach to relationships).
If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you. I am in the business of CHANGE and believe you can grow, adapt, and heal if you are willing to go past the shallow waters into the deep. I create a therapeutic space that is safe and FREE OF JUDGEMENT. I believe we all get stuck sometimes in life, and my goal is to help get you UNSTUCK and moving in the right direction!

My practice is centrally located with flexible hours. I have both weekday and weekend appointments available. I can work with most schedules.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

We all go to the doctor when we are sick or hurt. In fact, we even get check ups annually for our teeth, skin, and body. Insurance companies promote preventative care. Yet, most people wait till it is unbearable to seek out emotional or mental help. Why is this??? Who told you that taking care of your emotional health makes you weak??? In fact, it is the exact opposite. Being proactive about healing, emotional intelligence and healthy relationships with yourself and others shows character, strength and ambition. Most people don't realize how your emotional health can actually effect your physical health. Most people don't realize that they are empowered to break generational patterns in their family and do things different! You can be the one in your family that breaks this pattern of doing life alone. What are you waiting for!
