My Approach to Helping

Welcome. This journey that brought you to this site has probably been difficult, therefore, I'm here to help. I provide help for overwhelmed individuals, distant couples, and hurt families.

Overwhelmed individuals: Life can become challenging, sometimes to the point where you cannot get anything done anymore. You forget things or worried about them even to the point where you dread getting out of bed in the morning. I'm here to help you find hope again.

Distant Couples: Your relationship should be the most amazing thing in your life. Sometimes parenting, finances, and life stresses get in the way of your relationship. I can assist you with learning to reconnect again by breaking down the barriers and strengthening your bond.

Hurting Families: Families are the most precious people to us even when the relationships become strained. Sometimes children have behavioural or emotional issues or it is you have a new family that is trying to bond for the first time. Working alongside your family, I am able to help you strengthen your family and find harmony again.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

Trust: I believe in earning and nurturing your trust by being open and honest with you during the whole process. With respect to you I will always speak the truth with kindness.

Integrity: I strive to be honest, reliable and respectful in all of our work together.

Compassion: You are unique and therefore it is my job to understand you and your struggles with empathy.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I believe that being able to help someone else means to stop and evaluate your own issues. Over the years, I have had struggles in which I needed someone else's help to overcome and become healthy. Therefore, I have sat "on the couch" and have viewed this process from a client's perspective. I understand how scary it is to pick up the phone or even come into the office, as well as how it feels to be vulnerable with another person. I also learned how remarkable it is to feel better and to have a life worth living. All of this has made me a more compassionate, understanding and accepting therapist where I strive to make you feel comfortable to be able to have success in your journey.
