My Approach to Helping
I have been a therapist for over 18 years in Louisiana and am working toward licensure in Texas. I have worked in private practice since 2003 and in 2019 started a non-profit autism center for children.
My methodology is centered primarily around cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which is proven to be extremely effective, particularly with anxiety and adjustment-related challenges. I use a strength-based and solution-focused approach because our work together will be focused on making positive and long-lasting changes.
I offer a warm, nurturing, and non-judgmental environment and will also provide you with direct and reflective feedback. The therapeutic process will be collaborative and catered to your needs and goals.
I find it helpful to use humor when appropriate, and as emotionally challenging as therapy can be, my hope is that you will enjoy the process. Together, we can help you determine what your next steps are for achieving a more fulfilling life. Please reach out to me to learn more about how I can help you. I look forward to being a part of your journey.
I enjoy traveling, sports, reading and am an avid animal lover. I am married with three boys, ages 21, 19, and 11.
