My Approach to Helping
I view therapy as a collaborative partnership in which I encourage clients to nurture a curiosity and deeper understanding of how their feelings, thoughts, and behavior affect their relationships with others and their overall happiness. We then work to explore new approaches to thinking, relating, and behaving that help improve quality of life.
My therapy clients tend to be high school age and up and I offer individual, couples, and family counseling. I have extensive training and experience in delivering cognitive behavior therapy. I am also a registered yoga instructor with my own mindfulness practice. I have intensive training in delivering Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy to adults. See my website for current MBCT groups.
