My Approach to Helping
We are born to be in relationships with one another. Sometimes a relationship that began with hopefulness becomes a relationship that causes confusion or fear. We begin to doubt the truth—that we are important, lovable, and capable individuals. When that happens, we struggle with setting boundaries that allow us to take care of ourselves and can get lost in the toxicity. We begin to feel stressed, anxious, depressed, overwhelmed. Working through the trauma of narcissistic abuse or toxic relationships and finding your way to personal freedom is my passion.
I work with adults of all ages. My approach is client or family-specific, to meet you where you are and to move forward. I am trained in trauma recovery through eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I am also skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and twelve-step recovery. I practice integrative therapy that is dynamic to meet your needs and preferences. The main goals of my therapy practice are to help you get back in balance, heal from emotional trauma, rebuild self-esteem, look at relationship patterns, and think about your best future.
