My Approach to Helping
I practice cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and utilize CBT's core concepts in most of my interventions with clients. I believe each of us has unique gifts that, from time to time, are underutilized or developed in our lives. When this happens, we often start to frequently question people and things we don't normally question, including ourselves. This can result in a pattern of feeling negative or acting negatively that we know isn't right, often taking the form of depression or anxiety. The key principles of CBT (the impact that our feelings, thoughts, and actions have on each other) can be life changing when embraced.
By focusing on increasing our self-awareness, we become better equipped at managing the triggers in our lives, navigating our choices, and regulating our emotions. As this happens, we begin to better utilize our natural gifts, breaking negative patterns, and living a more fulfilling life.
You or someone you know are contemplating a personal change process. I'm confident in my ability to help you realize the change you are hoping for in your life with foundations in cognitive behavioral therapy and years of professional experience working with diverse clients and families.
