My Approach to Helping
Thank you so much for visiting my profile! I commend you for reaching out and taking the first step towards healing! I believe we all have struggles and at times we need help from another person. Therapy allows a person to gain fresh perspective and helps with the ability to process. In my approach to helping, I utilize multiple theories to specifically fit the needs of my clients. I use approaches such as: cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, trauma-focused, and client-centered. I look at a holistic approach to healing, which includes: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. In addition, I offer Christian counseling to clients who would like to integrate their belief system into counseling. Together we will work on goals you would like to attain from therapy and ultimately achieve the happiness you desire. In sum, I offer therapy services in a collaborative, safe, non-judgmental space.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
One of my specialties is Trauma. One of the most effective treatments for trauma and/or PTSD is Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). This amazing interventions has helped so many find the freedom that they did not feel was possible. For more information visit my website.
Furthermore, I have specialized training in Christian counseling. For clients who would like to implement their faith, I use an approach which integrates psychology, theology, and spiritual formation. Together we can look at God's word and His works, to process/solve issues. With God all things are possible!

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
Successful outcomes in therapy increase when the client and therapist have a strong therapeutic alliance. It is very important that you and your therapist have a trusting and collaborative relationship. In counseling, clients will be sharing very personal information; therefore, it is important that the therapist is someone you feel safe with. It is important that your therapist is the right match! Remember this is your time and you deserve the therapist that is the best fit for YOU!
